Here are the steps to do online switch of your direct deposit to your B9 account:
Step 1: Login your company or payroll platform via B9 app
Step 2: Switch the fix amount or % of your paycheck to B9
It is important to keep in mind that when you set up payroll deposit with B9, a portion of your deposit (the amount or percentage that you choose) will be directed to your B9 account, and this will be used to calculate your advance eligibility. You can easily withdraw your funds using ACH or by linking external card, or take advantage of our B9 Visa Debit or virtual cards to earn up to 5% cashback every month.
Step 3: Wait for your paycheck
Once your employer makes the first direct deposit to your B9 account, your B9 advance will be activated. If you received your payroll deposit but haven't received an advance offer, check here for possible reasons.
- Invalid credentials
- Multi-factor authentication
- Can't find your employer or payroll company
1. Invalid credentials.
One of them is entering invalid credentials, such as your employer or payroll username and password. To fix this, make sure you're entering the correct information and try accessing your employer or payroll platform directly with those credentials. You can reset your password if needed at this point as well which is a quick fix for this type of error.
2. Multi-factor authentication.
Another reason could be not completing the multi-factor authentication required by your employer or payroll. This could involve a verification code sent through SMS or email, or answering security questions. Be sure to complete all steps of the multi-factor authentication and contact your employer or payroll if you're not receiving it.
A typical situation is that after completing the first step of multi-factor authentication by entering the verification code from SMS or email, the system may require you to enter another verification code in the second step, which could be your SSN number or date of birth.
Please make sure to complete the multi-factor authentication to connect and if you are not receiving the multi-factor authentication, please reach out to your employer/payroll to verify your details.
3. Can't find your employer or payroll company.
Lastly, if you can't find your employer or payroll company, don't worry. You can choose the manual deposit switch option and receive a direct deposit form via email, which you can give to your employer to set up manual deposits.
